Griffin's most dangerous deal

Griffin's most dangerous deal: "But after 1993, charges were 'struck out' after Grif n allegedly struck an unusual deal with the gardaí. It was not until his arrest in 1995 at Dublin airport in possession of drugs that allegations about the deal were made. The ensuing criminal trial was what one source close to the case described as one of the most dramatic trials ever.

Grif n named a member of the Garda National Drugs Unit, Detective Sergeant Denis Palmer, who he said was his garda handler and knew about the drugs Grif n was bringing into the country from Amsterdam."
