Facebook: "I admire that conception of republican virtue, unfortunately I don't think it has ever been in abundant supply in post-Independence Ireland, sectoral interests have always held sway over the party of government, and (when necessary) the opp...osition (see FGs substantial corporate donations in advance of this election), I'd be willing to concede that their is perhaps less graft, or less of an accepted culture of graft, in FG and LAB compared to FF, but in terms of substantive policies, they are all (for a variety of complex reasons), on the same page as centrist parties the world over, and for that reason their time in government will be no more beneficial for the average Irish working person, than if FF had remained in power, but then again I am always hopeful of being proven wrong, so we will see how it pans out . . . .See more"
